Through our NHS Payroll Services we offer an outstanding service that replicates an in-house payroll function delivering all aspects of payroll, pensions and expenses. We have specialist knowledge and expertise in all areas of NHS payroll – including terms and conditions of service, pension legislation, salary sacrifice and expenses and work with a range of NHS clients across the country.
Fleet management services
In 2005, we developed what is believed to be the first salary sacrifice car scheme in the marketplace. NHS Fleet Solutions is now the leading salary sacrifice provider for cars in the NHS and wider public sector and we now manage a fleet of over 20,000 vehicles with in excess of 170 public sector client organisations.
Staff benefit schemes
NHS Home Electronic Solutions is another of our salary sacrifice schemes which allows participating organisations the opportunity to provide their staff with access to leading consumer goods through a salary sacrifice arrangement. This generates income (savings) for the employing organisation as well as savings for the employee.
Finance and procurement solutions
Formed in 2001 and hosted by Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation trust, NEP Shared System Group has built up an excellent reputation in providing a cost effective finance and procurement solution for the NHS with 38 clients across the UK. Through a ‘virtual shared service’ the system is delivered and administered through a central NHS resource, providing all the aggregated benefit of a shared service but leaving the transaction processing within the local trust.
Professional support services for GPs
Northumbria Primary Care Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and provides GPs with professional support in many of the corporate business functions that come with running a GP practice. A range of services are available, allowing GPs to spend more time caring for patients whilst having the support of a large organisation and the economies of scale this offers.

Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management Ltd is another wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and works with clients throughout the capital development process from concept through to final occupation and help ensures that facilities, projects and contracts are managed efficiently, correctly, on time and on budget.
